The run model

How the shuttle works

One hub, six van days a week, every lane full in both directions. That is why sending 10 boxes anywhere in England and Wales costs £289 instead of a man-and-van day rate.

The short answer: London postcodes are collected and delivered every Wednesday. Each destination area has its own weekly day: the Midlands Monday, the North West and East Anglia Tuesday, Yorkshire and the North East Thursday, the South West and South Wales Friday, the Thames Valley Saturday, and the home counties ride the London Wednesday run itself. Out of London you are delivered on the destination's next day; into London you are collected on your area's day and delivered Wednesday.

Via the hub

Everything travels through our Oxfordshire hub. Out of London, Leeds is next day and Bristol two days. Into London, everything lands on the Wednesday.

Step by step

1. Book online

Enter both postcodes and we show you the next three runs with exact collection and delivery dates. Pick Kerbside or Assisted, count your pieces, pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You get a reference like LS-K7M2PQ, a confirmation email and a calendar file.

2. Pack and label

Any sturdy box, bag or suitcase up to 30 kg counts as a piece. No special packing rules. Write your reference on each piece; we bring printed labels too. Check the prohibited items list before you seal anything.

3. Collection day

You get a 4-hour window by text the evening before. Kerbside: have everything at your front door and the driver loads. Assisted: we come in and carry everything out, and a two-person crew arrives whenever furniture or bikes are on the job.

4. The hub

Everything travels to our Oxfordshire hub, is checked against your booking and goes straight out on the next leg. Out of London that is usually one or two nights; home counties deliveries never stop at all, they ride the same Wednesday van.

5. Delivery day

Another 4-hour window by text the evening before. Leeds next day, Bristol two days, Birmingham on the Monday, Manchester on the Tuesday. Into London, everything lands on the Wednesday.

How long does it take?

Out of London from the Wednesday collection: Thursday areas next day, Friday areas two days, Saturday areas three, Monday areas five, Tuesday areas six, Wednesday home counties the same afternoon. Into London: collected on your area's day, delivered the first Wednesday after (Tuesday collections are next day; Thursday collections are six days). The exact dates always show before you pay.

Why fixed days are cheaper

A dedicated van from London to Manchester costs a few hundred pounds whether it is full or not. The shuttle fills one van on every leg and splits the cost between everyone aboard. You trade date flexibility for a much smaller bill: 10 boxes for £289 to anywhere we serve, with £50 cover per piece included and no ULEZ, congestion or parking surcharges.

If you need a specific date or a whole flat moved, that is a removals job, not a shuttle run. Email hello@londonshuttle.co.uk and we will quote it properly.
